Wild Rose, How I’ll Miss You!

I just got this set, but now it’s retiring! 😦  Oh, Wild Rose, I don’t think I can let you go.  I’m totally not a flowery person, but I’ve always eyeballed this stamp set and finally caved.

Tag Snowflake Tutorial

Sorry it’s been so long since I last posted. Now that school has settled down and my show @ EPAC is over, I thought I’d get caught up in my blogs.
So, to relaunch my blog, I have hear for you a Tag Snowflake Tutorial.

Supply list:
Vellum (either cardstock weight or lightweight)
Whisper White Cardstock
Large Tag Punch
Small Tag Punch
2 way glue pen
Dazzling Diamonds
Snowflake Punch
Clear rhinestone brad
1) Punch 8 – 16 Small Tags, leaving a large enough gap between each for later.
2) Go back over what you punched with the LARGE tag punch – thus creating tag “frames”.
3) Using the 2 way glue pen, glue down a tag frame onto your vellum.
4) Repeat process, but line up diagonal side of the frame with the diagonal side of the other frame.
5) Continue the process, and you will end up with a “cross”.
6) Glue down a tag frame on top of what you have already done at a 45 degree angle, and repeat the process for 3 more.
7) Snip off the “bottoms” of the tags to reveal the snowflake.
8) Punch out a snowflake from the Whisper White.
9) Fasten the tag snowflake and punched snowflake with the Rhinestone Brad.

Variation – layer 2 or more for an ultimate dynamic effect!!

Just a little cuttle…..

I caved and bought a cuttlebug. I must say that I DO love it. I had to make a birthday card, and this was the perfect opportunity to use it. The background is cuttled with the Happy Birthday folder, and the image is from SU!’s “Eat Cake”. I also just got my Iridescant Ice embossing powder. After I stamped the image, I “recolored” with my Versamarker and embossed with the II. The ribbon is SU’s new Pretty in Pink Taffeta. The darker ribbon was colored with Regal Rose, although it shows more of a Rose Red.

Classy Brass and Pretties too!

I just got my Priceless Classy Brass Template, and I LOVE it!!! In the first example, I dry emboss and paper pierced the card base. The In the second sample, I dry embossed the card base in the corners. I stamped the butterfly and flower and then embossed those as well.

I’m Baaaaack!

I know it’s been awhile since I posted……life has been so crazy with the end of the school year. Between that and the excitement over the new catalog – I haven’t gotten much sleep!

I recently had my new catty kick off this past Friday. The funniest part of all – everyone went STRAIGHT for the catalogs and THEN stamped afterwards. Too funny!

Here is what we made:

This card used Baroque Motifs, White Grosgrain, Rhinestone brads, Basic Black Cardstock and Ink, Purely Pomegrante Cardstock and Ink (In Color), and Whisper White Cardstock.

This card used Pick a Petal, Real Red Cardstock and Ink, Basic Black Cardstock and Ink, Dazzling Diamonds, Red Grosgrain.

This is the open view of the ladybug card.
